Right Wing Extremist Mobs????

Here is the video of a new Democrat National Committee (DNC) ad attacking citizens who are opposing a Government-takeover of Health Care as an "angry mob" comprised of "right-wing extremists of the Republican base."

Vision America Action President Dr. Rick Scarborough declared: "According to the president and DNC, if you're a concerned citizen who asks his Congressman tough questions at a Town Hall Meeting, you're a right-wing extremist. If you're a senior worried about not being able to get hip-replacement surgery if the president's plan is adopted, you're a right-wing extremist. If you wonder how a government that can't deliver the mail on time is going to manage an industry which constitutes one-sixth of our economy, you are a right-wing extremist. This is truly beneath contempt."

"Obama is calling a plurality of Americans 'right-wing extremists.' The message of the DNC/Obama ad is simple and straightforward: Don't ask questions, Don't read the fine print. Don't peacefully protest. Just blindly support the president's attempted takeover of health care,"
Scarborough observed.

"Far from intimidating us, this character-assassination encourages us to re-double our efforts to defeat Obama-Care!"

Why shouldn't we be concerned when Obama is lying to us. Obama promises that people who are happy with their current health insurance can keep it. That's a claim contradicted by FactCheck.org, a nonpartisan consumer advocacy group at the University of Pennsylvania's Annenberg Public Policy Center. AND IN HIS OWN WORDS stated that His Health Care Plan will ELIMINATE private insurance:

Obama explains that his plans for health care reform would eventually lead to the elimination of private health insurance companies in favor of a single-payer system:
"I don't think we're going to be able to eliminate employer coverage immediately. There's going to be potentially some transition process, I can envision in a decade out, or fifteen years out, or twenty years out," Obama says in a 2007 interview with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU). The video montage then follows with a 2003 speech given by Obama at an AFL-CIO conference on "Civil, Human, and Women's Rights" in which he says, "I am a proponent of single-payer universal health care plans."

The uncut context of Obama's 2003 address to the AFL-CIO labor union posted on Breitbart.tv. In that address Obama states clearly, "I happen to be a proponent of a single payer universal health care program. I see no reason why the United States of America, the wealthiest country in the history of the world, spending 14 percent of its Gross National Product on health care, cannot provide basic health insurance to everybody. ...

"A single payer health care plan, a universal health care plan. And that's what I'd like to see. But as all of you know, we may not get there immediately. Because first we have to take back the White House, we have to take back the Senate, and we have to take back the House."

More on the protest and the "angry mobs" who are "well dressed":

Pelosi's visit to Denver was met by anti-government protesters as well as government astroturfers. El Marco graphically illustrates exactly what astroturfing is and how it is intended to stifle dissent in America. This is an outstanding report. Excellent pictures and coverage to show what is actually happening.

Here's another link to see actual videos of
left-wing extremists that are disrupting congressional town-hall meetings with venomous attacks on anyone who voices their objections to Barack Obama's plans to socialize American health care.

How does the mainstream media report the townhall meetings? "Angry old white folks are storming into town halls all across the country spewing lies about health care reform. Let me set the record straight early on: These folks [are] dumber than Joe the Plumber." --MSNBC's Ed Schultz

It’s funny we hear Republicans say that they do not want “faceless bureaucrats” making medical decisions but they have no problem with “private sector” “faceless bureaucrats” daily declining medical coverage and financially ruining good hard working people. And who says that the “private sector” is always right, do we forget failures like Long-Term Capital, WorldCom, Global Crossing, Enron, Tyco, AIG and Lehman Brothers. Of course the federal government will destroy heathcare by getting involved, Oh but wait, Medicare and Medicaid and our military men and women and the Senate and Congress get the best heathcare in the world, and oh, that’s right, its run by our federal government. I can understand why some may think that the federal government will fail, if you look at the past eight years as a current history, with failures like the financial meltdown and Katrina but the facts is they can and if we support them they will succeed.

How does shouting down to stop the conversation of the healthcare debate at town hall meetings, endears them to anyone. Especially when the organizations that are telling them where to go and what to do and say are Republicans political operatives, not real grassroots. How does shouting someone down or chasing them out like a lynch mob advanced the debate, it does not. So I think the American people will see through all of this and know, like the teabagger, the birthers, these lynch mobs types are just the same, people who have to resort to these tactics because they have no leadership to articulate what they real want. It’s easy to pickup a bus load of people who hate, and that’s all I been seeing, they hate and can’t debate. Too bad.

Paul -I went to a tea party & it wasn't an “angry mob” like CNN or MSNBS reported. I watched the news when I got home & the media reports were all distorted. It wasn't full of people who hated - it was full of everyday people/families who valued their freedoms!

Why I prefer the "faceless" private sector vs. the fed government, is because I get to make the choice of what insurance plan, doctor, etc. I have the freedom to choose. Under a government run program, we lose our freedoms.

It is interesting that you state Medicare, Medicaid and our military men and women get the best health care in the world… Really??

Here are some links about problems with the "best health care in the world"

And there are so many problems with Medicare. Medicare was created in 1965 to provide free healthcare for Americans 65 and older. The government estimated Medicare would cost $12 billion by 1990. The actual cost by 1990 was $107 billion - off by nearly 900%. The funding problems could get worse as a new part of Medicare added in 2003 whose estimated cost was $534 billion over 10 years, which two years later was revised to $1.2 trillion. With this info, how confident are you when the government tells you how much their "public option" will cost, let alone the whole healthcare reform bill?

Medicare keeps administration costs very low, but this is precisely why fraud is so rampant as Medicare essentially pays whatever bills it receives as long as the bills have valid claim numbers, leaving U.S. taxpayers on the hook for over $60 billion in healthcare fraud every year.

A recent analysis from Investors Business Daily showed that in the years between 1968 and 2007, costs to maintain government health plans skyrocketed, with Medicare increasing 85.5 times and Medicaid 105.9 times, dwarfing government estimates for the actual costs of the programs.

The Wall Street Journal notes, "The press corps has noticed the Congressional Budget Office's estimate that the House health bill increases the deficit by $239 billion over the next decade. But government-run health care won't turn into a pumpkin after a decade. The underreported news is the new spending that will continue to increase well beyond the 10-year period that CBO examines, and that this blowout will overwhelm even the House Democrats' huge tax increases, Medicare spending cuts and other 'pay fors.'"

With the way our government runs Medicare, they need to steer clear of touching private healthcare. The government first needs to prove they can fix Medicare, then they can move forward with trying to fix the problems with private healthcare.

Also-- One needs only look at the failed and deeply flawed TennCare in Tennesse and Massachusetts’s government run health care plans to see that Government-run Universal Healthcare is a bad idea that will end up devastating our nation. Universal Health Care means more expensive rationed care. It is not free. We pay for it in our taxes.

Canada and Europe already have proved that national health care translates into national nightmares, with a plethora of new government regulations and new systems of rationing medical attention. (i.e. The Canadian Medical Association Journal found that 50 people in Ontairo ALONE passed away while waiting on necessary surgery (not just cancer), In 2000 the journal Clinical Oncology had an article about how more than 20% of operable cancer cases became inoperable in the amount of time they spent on the waiting list in England for the operation. The times online (England) reported the following figures in April of 2009: More than 43,000 operations were cancelled between January and September of 2008.)

Under government-run services, personal health care would transform into more impersonal harassment.

Yes, America desperately needs real change in our health and healthcare system, but how does Shutting down the conversation of the healthcare debate help?

We are told "Don't ask questions, Don't read the fine print. Don't peacefully protest. Just blindly support the president's attempted takeover of health care."

Americans are paying more and more money for less and less quality care. There does need to be Health Care Reform, but H.R. 3200 will not solve the problems, instead it will create a mountain of new problems.

There some actual solutions proposed by the Center for Health Transformation, they have been working for the past six years to develop solutions for the problems in our health care system, which don’t rely on higher taxes, bigger government, and more bureaucrats.

I urge you to check out their website to learn about some real solutions:
