More on thoughts on Socialism, Pacifism, and Patriotism

Some interesting quotes /photos I found on LookingattheLeft.com:

"If you hamper the war effort of one side, you automatically help out that of the other side." and "Pacifism is objectively pro-fascist. This is elementary common sense." -George Orwell Pacifism and the War 1941 essay.

"The Liberal idea of unity is the elimination of dissent." and "The Fairness Doctrine is Fascism"

"You say dissent is Patriotic?
Support of America's enemies is NOT patriotic...

Sabotage of national defense is NOT patriotic...

Spreading lies about the U.S. troops in wartime is NOT patriotic...

Lying about your country to the world is NOT patriotic...

Appeasing terrorist and dictators is NOT patriotic...

Depriving America of energy sources is NOT patriotic...

Voter fraud is NOT patriotic...

Fooling voters to obtain power is NOT patriotic...
Balkanization of American Culture is NOT patriotic...

Dumbing down education is NOT patriotic...

Historical revisionism is NOT patriotic...

Hatred of America and its people is NOT patriotic...

Let face it dissent is only patriotic when the dissenter is a patriot, otherwise it's plain old TREASON."

STOP B. Hussein Obama's Surrogates From Possibly 'STEALING' the Election!

"By now you know about the allegations of fraud being leveled against the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN):

And it's HUGE!

Investors' Business Daily wrote: "The group's voter-registration fraud is rampant."

Just how "rampant?"

Investor's Business Daily goes on:

"In Nevada, state officials say the fraudulent registrations included forms for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys football team, including quarterback Tony Romo.... Nevada, along with several other key battleground states, requires no ID to vote."

"No ID to vote?" That begs the question, other than the clumsy attempt to register members of the Dallas Cowboy football team, how many other fraudulent registrations are there in Nevada (or other states that require no ID to vote) that will not be so easily caught?

How many people will potentially travel to different polling places and vote 2, 3, 4 or even a dozen times for B. Hussein Obama?

Accusations of such rampant 'vote-early-and-vote-often' fraud raise even more questions.

Investors' Business Daily again:

"What does all this have to do with Obama, besides the fact that he'd be the beneficiary of most, if not all, of these new votes? For starters, Obama paid ACORN, which has endorsed him for president, $800,000 to register new voters, payments his campaign failed to accurately report. (They were disguised in his FEC disclosure as payments to a front group called Citizen Services Inc. for 'advance work.')"

"What's more, Obama worked as executive director of ACORN's voter-registration arm, Project Vote, in 1992. Joined by two other community organizers on Chicago's South Side, Obama conducted the voter-registration drive that helped elect Carol Moseley-Braun to the Senate that year. The next year, 1993, Obama joined the civil-rights law firm Davis Miner Barnhill & Galland, where he sued the state of Illinois on behalf of ACORN to implement the federal "Motor Voter" law, which the GOP governor at the time refused to do. Then-Gov. Jim Edgar argued, presciently, that the Clinton law would invite voter fraud."

And yet, despite all the documented evidence tying Obama to ACORN and the overwhelming stench of impropriety, B. Hussein Obama has the unmitigated gall to deny his connection to this far-left (some say socialist) organization.

On his so-called "Fight the Smears" website, B. Hussein Obama claims he is being attacked with "naked lies." The website claims it's just "a vile Republican pattern of mockery and viciousness" that has "absolutely no basis in fact..."

It reminds me of other infamous statements, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" or "that depends on what the meaning of is is."

Blood Money?

Of course, it makes perfect sense that the Obama campaign is denying B. Hussein Obama's ties to ACORN because the stench of impropriety becomes even more overwhelming!

You already know about Bill Ayers, the leader of the Weather Underground who told the New York Times in an article that was published on September 11, 2001, "I don't regret setting bombs... I feel we didn't do enough."

B. Hussein Obama has continually attempted to dismiss his relationship with Ayers. Recently he told Fox Commentator Bill O'Reilly, "I know thousands of people..."

What B. Hussein Obama forgot to mention was that both he and Ayers served on the board of the Woods Foundation together. He also forgot to mention that Ayers launched his first stab at public office by hosting a 'meet-and-greet' for Obama in 1995.

But most importantly, what B. Hussein Obama forgot to mention is that Ayers co-founded the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) and hired B. Hussein Obama as the executive director -- a position Obama maintained through 1999 before resigning and joining the board of CAC with Ayers -- putting Obama in a position to dole out close to $50 million dollars in CAC grant money.

And just why is that important?

According to Stanly Kurtz with National Review:

"The community activist groups that got money from the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, like ACORN and the Developing Communities Project (part of the Gamaliel Foundation), were very radical indeed, and the personal views of Walter Annenberg don't change that fact one iota."

There's the ACORN connection again.

That's the same ACORN by the way that pressured lending institutions to making the toxic loans that are at the heart of our current financial crisis.

Here's OneNewsNow.com quoting Stanly Kurtz:

"How did we get into this financial mess in the first place? Well, to a large degree, it's because lenders gave mortgages to borrowers who were unqualified, who shouldn't have been given loans in the first place. Why did they do that.... Obama at the time had his hands on the purse strings of two organizations. He was a director of the Woods Fund, and he was Chairman of the Board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC). He gave money from both organizations to ACORN, and also provided training for ACORN workers. According to Stanley Kurtz of National Review Online, 'ACORN succeeded in drawing Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac into the very policies that led to the current disaster.' ACORN put pressure on banks by threatening them with accusations of racism if they didn't give loans to minorities, even if they were completely unqualified."

That stench of impropriety is actually a circle of impropriety and it would appear that B. Hussein Obama is smack dab in the middle.

As for ACORN the timing could not have been better... partially causing the financial meltdown of the greatest nation in the world AND committing massive fraud to the benefit of a candidate that graced you with financial gifts over the years... that's called a "TWOFER!"

The Enemy Of My Enemy Is My Friend But The Enemies Of The United States Are B. Hussein Obama's Friends.

But the allegations of massive and wide-spread voter fraud are just the tip of the iceberg. There's also the question of contributions to Obama's campaign that come from foreign countries -- many potentially from individuals and countries that hate the United States!

According to the Internet news site NewsMax.com:

"In June, Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi gave a public speech praising Obama, claiming foreign nationals were donating to his campaign. 'All the people in the Arab and Islamic world and in Africa applauded this man,' the Libyan leader said. 'They welcomed him and prayed for him and for his success, and they may have even been involved in legitimate contribution campaigns to enable him to win the American presidency...'"

NewsMax.com added:

"Though Gadhafi asserted that fundraising from Arab and African nations were 'legitimate,' the fact is that U.S. federal law bans any foreigner from donating to a U.S. election campaign."

And other accusations of potential campaign improprieties are surfacing as well.

NewsMax.com yet again:

"In July and August, the head of the Nigeria's stock market held a series of pro-Obama fundraisers in Lagos, Nigeria's largest city. The events attracted local Nigerian business owners. At one event, a table for eight at one fundraising dinner went for $16,800. Nigerian press reports claimed sponsors raked in an estimated $900,000. The sponsors said the fundraisers were held to help Nigerians attend the Democratic convention in Denver. But the Nigerian press expressed skepticism of that claim, and the Nigerian public anti-fraud commission is now investigating the matter."

Pamela Geller, who runs the Internet Blog Atlas Shrugs claims that the Obama campaign received $33,000 from the purchase of paraphernalia off the Obama website... specifically T-shirts which were then shipped to Gaza and that a pair of Palestinian brothers Hosam and Monir Edwan contributed more than $31,300 to the Obama campaign.

A few thousand here... a few thousand there... it all adds up.

In fact, according to NewsMax.com:

"The FEC has compiled a separate database of potentially questionable overseas donations that contains more than 11,500 contributions totaling $33.8 million."

And While Were On The Subject Of Potentially Illegal Contributions...

What about charitable religious institutions holding partisan Get-Out-The-Vote Drives?

Chad Groening with OneNewsNow.com recently filed this report:

"The group, Muslim Americans for Obama [MAFO], insists that all of its voter registration activity is non-partisan, despite the fact that its mission statement says it was launched in August 2008 'to provide a vehicle for Muslim-American supporters of Barack Obama to organize and mobilize our fellow citizens to get out the vote to elect Barack Obama the next president of the United States.'"

"Continuing, the group's website states: 'Although there is only a short period of time until the election..., there is much work to be done for supporters of Barack Obama's candidacy. [MAFO] was formed to offer a vehicle for Muslim-Americans to mobilize quickly and effectively so that our community turns out in great numbers for Barack Obama on Election Day.'

"The 'get out the vote' events are scheduled at mosques in Michigan, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey, Virginia, and Ohio.

"Robert Spencer is director of Jihad Watch, a project of the David Horowitz Freedom Center. He argues MAFO may be skirting the law.

"'When they are running these voter registration drives at mosques, really it's essentially illegal because they are clearly trying to get people to vote for Obama -- and that's in violation of their tax-exempt status,' Spencer charges. 'So this is a group that is crossing the line and ought to be disciplined as such.'

"The Jihad Watch leader, however, figures that is not likely to happen. '...I kind of doubt that they will be [disciplined], given the politically correct atmosphere nowadays," he says. "I wouldn't be the least surprised if no action is taken against them.'

"Spencer contends that if a group called 'Christians for John McCain' claimed to be non-partisan and ran a registration drive in churches, it would be all over the media and create a huge scandal and embarrassment for the McCain campaign"."

ACORN - Voter Fraud

Excerpts from: http://www.cnsnews.com/public/content/article.aspx?RsrcID=37971
ACORN Submitted ‘Thousands and Thousands of Phony’ Voter Registrations, County Registrar Says
Wednesday, October 22, 2008
By Josiah Ryan, Staff Writer

"(CNSNews.com) – The Association for Community Reform Now (ACORN) submitted nearly 90,000 voter registration applications to the registrar’s office in Clark County, Nev., this year, among which were “thousands and thousands and thousands of phony and duplicate applications” that ACORN did not mark as suspicious, Larry Lomax, Clark Country registrar of voters, told CNSNews.com.

Matthew Henderson, ACORN’s regional director for Southwest Nevada, however, said that a few duplicate and falsified forms may have slipped through ACORN’s vetting. But the group turned in between 3,000 and 4,000 tagged registration forms, Henderson said, and there is little evidence to support Lomax’s allegations that they missed “thousands.”

“It is very accurate to say the majority of falsified ballots had not been tagged,” Lomax told CNSNews.com. “They claim they registered 90,000 new voters, but that is certainly not true. They may have turned in 90,000 cards, but in that were thousands and thousands and thousands of phony and duplicate applications. It was a pathetic effort.

Meanwhile, investigations involving ACORN have also been launched in 12 of the other 21 states where the organization says it has gathered a total 1.32 million voter registration applications this year.

Allegations against ACORN include a voter registration application for a “Mickey Mouse” living in Orlando; a man in Ohio who has testified that he was offered cigarettes and cash to apply for 73 voter cards; and 10 applications to vote for a deceased woman in Missouri."

Obama is Trying to Cover-up Voter Fraud...

Can you believe this??

Obama seeks delay in voter fraud investigation
Jim Brown - OneNewsNow - 10/24/2008 8:00:00 AM
excerpt from: http://www.onenewsnow.com/Election2008/Default.aspx?id=297446

"Barack Obama's presidential campaign is pressuring the Department of Justice to put off a probe of voter registration fraud allegations leveled against the now infamous liberal group ACORN.

Lawyers for the Obama campaign have written U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, asking him to delay any investigations of voter fraud until after the election. The Obama campaign's general counsel, Robert Bauer, says the FBI should instead be investigating those who have lodged complaints of voter registration fraud against groups like ACORN. Bauer contends that concerns about voter registration fraud are "manufactured allegations" being used to intimidate and disenfranchise low-income voters.

"Naturally, they pooh-pooh the very notion of the problems that have been uncovered -- hundreds of thousands of questionable voter registrations, [including] one man in Ohio who says ACORN got him to register to vote 72 different times."

Istook says ACORN and "its minions" represent a large part of the Obama base, so the senator's camp is trying to keep them motivated by standing up for them and 'showing them they have will have a friend and a protector in the White House'."

Voter Fraud

I wanted to recommend that you monitor http://votefraudsquad.com/ for news about voter fraud around the country.

The website is affiliated with the Voter Integrity Project, which is a non-partisan project to help the American voter report and expose incidences of vote fraud and vote suppression. This is an issue that crosses party lines and we should all be concerned about it.

"Why I am voting Democrat!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe the government will do a better job of spending MY MONEY than I would. I think when you spread the wealth around it is good for everybody! It’s Patriotic!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that business should not be allowed to make profits for themselves. All profits are evil and should be confiscated for Government Redistribution.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that MORE Government regulations and higher taxes on Business will stop Business from exporting their jobs to Countries with LESS Government regulations and lower taxes.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe terrorists should be allowed to have trials in American courts. And be able to subpoena top secret documents, soldiers, government officials, etc. to cross examine for their defense. They should have ACLU lawyers who can help intimidate Americans who serve on the juries!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe Gay Marriage should be the law of the land and will probably produce better children.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe English should not be the official language of the United States. I don’t mind pushing one for English when I use the phone.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe partial birth abortion is okay but water boarding a terrorist is disgusting.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe having a domestic terrorist like Bill Ayers as a close friend is a good thing. It allows for great relations with foreign terrorists.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe in a FREE government health care system. I believe doctors, nurses, hospitals, drug companies, etc. will gladly donate their time, products, services, facilities, etc. for FREE and that will be a better system.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe in and support trial lawyers, frivolous lawsuits and outrageous jury verdicts.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe 9/11 was an inside job to con the American people to go to war for oil.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe social security is solvent and that there is a social security lock box and I don’t believe social security is a Ponzi scheme.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe MOST AMERICANS are bitter and cling to their guns and religion. Let’s rid our country of guns and religion!

I'm voting Democrat because I believe illegal aliens deserve all the rights of ordinary Americans plus some additional rights Americans do not have.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe corporations should pay higher taxes! I believe higher taxes on business will make the price of their products and services LESS EXPENSIVE.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe groups like ACORN who register felons, drug addicts, wino’s, homeless drifters, illegal aliens, dead people, children, fictional Disney characters, etc. makes my vote count more.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe celebrating the winter solstice shows compassion for the small minority of people that do not celebrate Christmas.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe hard core criminal murders and rapists deserve life and that the innocent unborn deserve death. It’s a choice I can live with.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe Bush caused Hurricane Katrina and he blew-up the levies in the ninth ward of New Orleans.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe that any one who is not partaking in one of the many wonderful government programs obviously has too much money and should pay higher taxes.

I'm voting Democrat because when we pull out of Iraq the terrorists will be happy and now think of us as good people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe our soldiers are AIR RAIDING villages and killing innocent people.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe sex in the Oval Office with an intern is a private matter and that everybody lies under oath about sex.

I'm votin Demokrat becuse I wus edumkated at a publick sckrool. I lik da Natsionel Edukatshun Assoseeashun!

I'm voting Democrat because freedom of speech is fine as long as it does not offend people. Can’t we all just get along?

I'm voting Democrat because I believe oil companies' profits are wrong. I believe higher taxes on oil companies will produce lower prices at the pump.

I'm voting Democrat because I believe we need to rid ourselves of dependency on foreign oil, BUT I AM AGAINST offshore drilling for oil and natural gas, drilling in Anwar, building nuclear power plants and clean coal technology.

And finally, I'm voting Democrat because I believe Reverend Wright when he said “GODDAMN AMERICA” and “OUR CHICKENS ARE COMING HOME TO ROOST”. Hey let’s make a comfortable nest for those chickens!

Why are you voting Democrat?"

Summary of the Last Debate

McCain On The Attack
by Jed Babbin
article from: http://www.humanevents.com/article.php?id=29053
Posted 10/16/2008 ET

"Hillary Clinton was in the audience last night, and it’s not at all clear who she tried to put the hex on. Both candidates seemed at times more uncomfortable than they have before, but it was John McCain’s night.

McCain was more aggressive and clearer than he had been in the first two debates. He did what he had to do: draw contrasts between himself and Obama on a variety of domestic issues.

In the first thirty minutes of the debate, McCain hammered Obama on taxes. His biggest weapon was an Ohio plumber who drew a more revealing answer from Obama than any debate moderator has in the primaries or the preceding two presidential debates.

Joe Wurzelbacher is the Ohio plumber who caught Obama off guard last Sunday. Wurzelbacher, who wants to buy the business he has worked for, asked Obama why his tax plan would raise the plumber’s taxes.

According to news reports, Wurzelbacher told Obama, “I'm getting ready to buy a company that makes $250,000 to $280,000 a year," but "[y]our new tax plan is going to tax me more, isn't it?"

Wurzelbacher’s question drew an answer that revealed more about Obama’s liberal class-warfare philosophy than any debate moderator has all year. Obama said, "It's not that I want to punish your success," then adding, "I just want to make sure that everybody who is behind you, that they've got a chance for success, too ... When you spread the wealth around, it's good for everybody."

Again and again, McCain repeated the “spread the wealth around” line, mocking Obama effectively for his plan to raise taxes in these tough economic times. McCain scored heavily, and -- characteristically -- Obama did very poorly in the unscripted moments.

McCain did -- mildly -- what his handlers and some Congressional leaders had promised: he asked about the campaign charges that Obama was choosing to associate with former terrorist William Ayers. McCain said voters deserved to know the full story and accused Obama of launching his political career in Ayers’ living room. He said it dismissively, saying he didn’t care much about an old washed-up terrorist.

On offense, McCain simply said the public needs to know the full story about Obama’s connections not only to Ayers but also to ACORN -- the “community organizing” group that is being investigated for voter registration fraud in states from Nevada to Ohio.

Obama was shaken, denying that Ayers was connected to his campaign and -- for the moment cornered -- said that Ayers wouldn’t be advising him in the White House.

McCain scored again when Obama went back to his campaign theme that McCain would be another George Bush. McCain said, “Senator Obama, I am not President Bush. If you wanted to run against President Bush, you should have run four years ago.”

Another McCain attack succeeded when both candidates were talking about the merits of their running mates and against their opponent’s. Obama said Biden, “…has some of the best foreign policy credentials of anybody…”

McCain hit that precisely, as we have been asking him to, saying Biden’s long experience is in being consistently wrong on foreign policy issues. McCain said, “I think that Joe Biden is qualified in many respects, but I do point out that he's been wrong on many foreign policy and national security issues, which is supposed to be his strength. He voted against the first Gulf War. He voted against it, and obviously we had to take Saddam Hussein out of Kuwait or it would have threatened the Middle Eastern oil supply. In Iraq, he had this cockamamie idea about dividing Iraq into three countries. We're seeing Iraq united as Iraqis. It's tough, hard -- but we're seeing them -- we're now about to have an agreement for status of forces in Iraq coming up.”

The atmospherics worked against McCain. His eyes were obviously bothering him under the lights, so he was blinking almost manically at times. He often glared, either at Obama or at moderator Bob Schieffer. Obama was shaken and uncertain many times in the debate, but never lost his cool.

McCain took advantage of Obama’s unease, praising him for eloquence and pointing out that Obama’s carefully-parsed words often conceal his out-of-the-mainstream opinions. Obama is the lawyer, arguing fine points. McCain speaks clearly, as a leader must.

But McCain dropped the ball on Supreme Court appointments. Asked by Schieffer if he’d not nominate a justice who supported Roe v. Wade, McCain took an odd turn. McCain said he’d not impose any litmus test on Supreme Court nominations and spoke about the “Gang of 14” which he championed to prevent Republicans from imposing a simple majority vote for judicial nominations.

McCain is unquestionably pro-life: he spoke eloquently about his family and how Sarah Palin knows first-hand about caring for special-needs children. He attacked Obama for his Illinois legislature votes against bills requiring medical care for infants that survive abortion. But why didn’t McCain simply say he’d not nominate judges who supported Roe v. Wade? Why did he emphasize the fact that he’d voted for Stephen Breyer and Ruth Bader Ginsburg, two of the most hard-core liberals serving on the high court?

Obama was more direct on his philosophy -- reiterated often by running mate Joe Biden -- that judges should be chosen on an ideological basis. Saying he agreed with McCain that there should be no litmus test for judicial nominations, Obama said that judges should be chosen for their ideas of “fairness and justice.” Which means he’d only appoint more Ginsburgs and Breyers.

Obama said he believes the Constitution contains a right to privacy. He said he’d support limits on third trimester abortions if they had exceptions for the mother’s health.

McCain jumped on this, arguing -- correctly -- that the courts have stretched the “mother’s health” exception to mean almost anything.

Obama played the evening cautiously, like a football coach protecting a three-point lead in the last two minutes of the game, trying to control the ball and run out the clock. McCain’s two-minute offense was highly effective. But the clock is winding down. McCain is on Obama’s twenty-yard line and a field goal won’t be enough.

Unlike NFL football, there’s no overtime in this game. Obama’s lead in the polls is soft and will shrink markedly in the next few days. McCain can win unless Obama can run out the clock."

"If Barack wins, a backlash is coming."

The Coming Backlash
by Patrick J. Buchanan
Posted 10/17/2008 ET

"As Americans render what Catholics call temporal judgment on George Bush, are they aware of the radical course correction they are about to make?

This center-right country is about to vastly strengthen a liberal Congress whose approval rating is 10 percent and implant in Washington a regime further to the left than any in U.S. history. Consider.

As of today, Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the San Francisco Democrat, anticipates gains of 15-30 seats. Sen. Harry Reid, whose partisanship grates even on many in his own party, may see his caucus expand to a filibuster-proof majority where he can ignore Republican dissent.

Headed for the White House is the most left-wing member of the Senate, according to the National Journal. To the vice president's mansion is headed Joe Biden, third most liberal as ranked by the National Journal, ahead of No. 4, Vermont Socialist Bernie Sanders.

What will this mean to America? An administration that is either at war with its base or at war with the nation.

America may desperately desire to close the book on the Bush presidency. Yet there is, as of now, no hard evidence it has embraced Obama, his ideology, or agenda. Indeed, his campaign testifies, by its policy shifts, that it is fully aware the nation is still resisting the idea of an Obama presidency.

In the later primaries, even as a panicked media were demanding that Hillary drop out of the race, she consistently routed Obama in Ohio and Pennsylvania and crushed him in West Virginia and Kentucky.

By April and May, the Democratic Party was manifesting all the symptoms of buyer's remorse over how it had voted in January and February.

Obama's convention put him eight points up. But, as soon as America heard Sarah Palin in St. Paul, the Republicans shot up 10 points and seemed headed for victory.

What brought about the Obama-Biden resurgence was nothing Obama and Biden did, but the mid-September crash of Fannie, Freddie, Lehman Brothers, AIG, the stock market, where $4 trillion was wiped out, the $700 billion bailout of Wall Street that enraged Middle America -- and John McCain's classically inept handling of the crisis.

In short, Obama has still not closed the sale. Every time America takes a second look at him, it has second thoughts, and backs away.

Even after the media have mocked and pilloried Palin and ceded Obama and Biden victory in all four debates, the nation, according to Gallup, is slowly moving back toward the Republican ticket.

Moreover, Obama knows Middle America harbors deep suspicions of him. Thus, he has jettisoned the rhetoric about the "fierce urgency of now," and "We are the people we've been waiting for," even as he has jettisoned position after position to make himself acceptable.

His "flip-flops" testify most convincingly to the fact that Obama knows that where he comes from is far outside the American mainstream. For what are flip-flops other than concessions that a position is untenable and must be abandoned?

Flip-flopping reveals the prime meridian of presidential politics. If an analyst will collate all the positions to which all the candidates move, he will find himself close to the true center of national politics.

Thus, though he is the nominee of a party that is in thrall to the environmental movement, Obama has signaled conditional support for offshore drilling and pumping out of the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

While holding to his pledge for a pullout of combat brigades from Iraq in 16 months, he has talked of "refining" his position and of a residual U.S. force to train the Iraqi Army and deal with Al Qaeda.

On Afghanistan, he has called for 10,000 more troops and U.S. strikes in Pakistan to kill Bin Laden, even without prior notice or the permission of the Pakistani government.

Since securing the nomination, Obama has adopted the Scalia position on the death penalty for child rape and the right to keep a handgun in the home. He voted to give the telecoms immunity from prosecution for colluding in Bush wiretaps. This onetime sympathizer of the Palestinians now does a passable imitation of Ariel Sharon.

No Democrat has ever come out of the far left of his party to win the presidency. McGovern, the furthest left, stayed true to his convictions and lost 49 states.

Obama has chosen another course. Though he comes out of the McGovern-Jesse Jackson left, he has shed past positions like support for partial birth abortion as fast as he has shed past associations, from William Ayers to ACORN, from the Rev. Jeremiah Wright to his fellow parishioners at Trinity United.

One question remains: Will a President Obama, with his party in absolute control of both Houses, revert to the politics and policies of the Left that brought him the nomination, or resist his ex-comrades' demands that he seize the hour and impose the agenda ACORN, Ayers, Jesse, and Wright have long dreamed of?

Whichever way he decides, he will be at war with them, or at war with us. If Barack wins, a backlash is coming."

ACORN - Voters Fraud!!!!

by Newt Gingrich (more by this author)

"First, this summer's economic bailout bill put the taxpayers on the line for $152 billion.

Then the housing bailout added $300 billion.

The Paulson bailout cost us another $700 billion.

Now Washington Democrats - already counting on complete, filibuster-proof control of the nation's purse-strings come November - are talking about spending another $300 billion on a "stimulus package."

That comes to a grand total of $1.45 trillion the taxpayers are being asked to provide for Washington's ideas on how to save the economy.

But here's the thing: Has anyone ever asked the people who are footing the bill - the taxpayers - how we'd like this money spent?

How would you spend $1.45 trillion to make America better? Today I'm going to give you an opportunity to tell America how you'd spend this money.

But first some news, with Halloween just around the corner, that should scare us all.

They've been working hard to show us their happy face, but the mask of the Reid-Pelosi-Obama (RePO) team slipped a bit last week.

The Senate Majority Leader, the House Speaker and the Democratic Presidential nominee are already planning on a total Democratic takeover of Washington following the election, but here's the really frightening news: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that Congress may convene after the election to make "harsh decisions."

"Harsh decisions." Sounds scary.

Will RePO Make the "Harsh Decision" to Raise Taxes? Reward ACORN?
We should take Speaker Pelosi at her word. What "harsh decisions" does the San Francisco Democrat have in mind for America? Will they be tricks or treats?

Will the RePO Team make the "harsh decision" to raise confiscatory taxes on American businesses, the engine of jobs and economic growth?

Will they make the harsh choice to strip American voters of their right to a secret ballot when deciding whether or not to unionize a workplace?

Will they choose to send hundreds of millions of new taxpayer dollars to the radical leftwing group ACORN (on top of the hundreds of millions in this summer's housing bailout bill that went to radical groups including ACORN) in exchange for getting out the leftwing vote in the November election?

Will Reid-Pelosi-Obama rewrite deadbeat mortgages to steal from lenders and reward irresponsible behavior?

Just exactly who is going to find their decisions "harsh?"

In this Present Crisis, Government Isn't the Solution to our Problem
With just 21 days to go until the election, it's becoming clearer and clearer that the choice for Americans in 2008 is a choice between the kind of pro-special interest, pro-bureaucracy, "harsh" decisions the RePo Team isn't even waiting for the voters to ratify, or the sensible, center-right values of the rest of America.

In his first inaugural address, Ronald Reagan memorably said, "In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem."

A new Rasmussen Poll shows that a solid majority of Americans - 59%-28% - still agree with Reagan's statement.

Americans from across all age and income groups - including a majority who consider themselves politically moderate - believe that government, taxes and regulation and Fannie and Freddie-style government-backed corruption are what got us into this economic mess in the first place.

It is important to keep in mind that Reagan was not anti-government. As he said in that first inaugural, "Now, so there will be no misunderstanding, it is not my intention to do away with government. It is, rather, to make it work - work with us, not over us; to stand by our side, not ride on our back. Government can and must provide opportunity, not smother it; foster productivity, not stifle it."

It is as true today as it was when Reagan first said it in January 1981: in the present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem.

The "Harsh Decisions" Of One-Party Washington Vs. the Rest of America
And so the decision we face in November is whether we're going to pursue more of the same heavy-handed government policies that got us into this economic mess, or whether we are going to put government on the side of fostering the private sector creativity, ingenuity and entrepreneurialism that made this country great.

But Speaker Pelosi is right about one thing: Congress should return to Washington in a special session to address the ongoing economic crisis.

But instead of making the "harsh decisions" advocated by the RePo Team, Congress should pass a package of reforms that will address the immediate economic crisis while creating jobs, keeping America's energy dollars at home, and addressing the long-term health of our economy.

A Pro-Growth, Pro-Jobs, Pro-Energy Independence Agenda For Congress
Instead of $300 billion in new liabilities for the American taxpayers, Congress should take action on the following:

1. Zero capital gains tax - Countries without taxes on capital gains, such as China, Singapore, and Taiwan, are magnets for global investment. Economists like Alan Greenspan have called for removing capital gains in order to see increased economic growth and American competitiveness in attracting foreign direct investment and international corporations.

2. Repeal Sarbanes-Oxley - After the devastating crash of Enron and WorldCom, Congress rushed to pass a law to alleviate panic. Instead of enacting reform measures that would reasonably prevent fraud, they passed a burdensome, accounting mess. Sarbanes-Oxley is a disproportionate burden for small businesses and start-ups, and has forced many companies to move from New York to London.

3. Allow 100% annual expensing for small businesses - Small businesses create 7 out of 10 new jobs in America and account for more than half of the output of our economy. One hundred percent annual expensing would give small business more money to invest in new technologies, like computers and machinery, to improve worker productivity. Likewise, it would allow business to hire more employees.

4. Move to break up and privatize Freddie and Fannie - Corporate greed at Freddie and Fannie fueled subprime mortgage loans. Because subprime mortgages carried higher risk, they also offered a higher interest yield that gave executives an increased profit share. Given the government sponsored enterprise, they had lower capital requirements, and were implicitly backed by taxpayer dollars in the case that these assets should crumble. These institutions should be prevented from offering more subprime mortgages, and we should move towards privatizing them.

5. Provide a comprehensive plan to keep Americans in their homes - The summer's housing bailout bill gave $300 billion to renegotiate mortgages with homeowners, but forced lending institutions to take an immediate 10% cut in profit, giving little incentive for lending institutions to participate. The government could instead offer a no-interest loan to homeowners who are current on their mortgage payments and work with their lending institution to renegotiate their mortgages into a 6% fixed interest, 30-year loan. We should help those homeowners who have acted in good faith keep the keys to their homes.

6. Move towards long term investment strategies - Congress should look to investing in the National Institutes of Health and the National Science Foundation to foster innovation and make America the most competitive market for research and development.

7. Develop an all-of-the-above energy policy - Imagine if we invested a fraction of the billion dollar bailout into developing, for example, more nuclear power and coal-to-synthetic natural gas technologies and infrastructure. We should continue to advance clean coal, biofuels, wind, solar, hydrogen, and natural gas technologies. Further, we should increase exploration and development of our own resources offshore and in oil shale, so that we are not defenseless against any energy cartels.

8. We should repeal all congressional money given to ACORN - ACORN is under investigation in a dozen states for voter fraud. We cannot afford to be subsidizing an organization that operates under the façade of providing community development and low-income housing, while it has a record of fraudulent activity. See this CNN report about ACORN voter registration fraud in Indiana, where ACORN provided 5,000 new voter registration cards. Indiana authorities started reviewing them and found that the first 2,100 were all fraudulent.

How Would You Spend $1.45 Trillion to Make America Better?
You've heard a few of my ideas, and you've no doubt read plenty about what the Washington establishment thinks we need to do to rescue our economy. But when was the last time someone asked you - the American taxpayer - how we should use the $1.45 trillion of your money Washington has generously offered to spend?

My organization, American Solutions, is interested in what you have to say.

Do you think we should use the money to invest in technology to make us energy independent? Click here and tell us how and why.

Do you think we should use the $1.45 trillion to transform our health system? Click here and let us know?

Or should we just give the $1.45 trillion back to the American taxpayers? Log on to our website and say so. My bet is you'll be the most popular person on the site.

Tell Obama: "Stop Voter Fraud"

Every election, it's the same old song and dance from the Democrats and their liberal allies when it comes to donor and vote fraud.

This year, the Obama-Biden campaign broke their pledge to accept public financing during the general election. Now it turns out they padded their coffers with contributions from "mystery" donors that don't exist (as reported by Newsweek).

They will soon be trying to pad their totals at ballot boxes across the country with votes from voters that do not exist. From Ohio and Florida to Wisconsin and Nevada, there are reports of fraudulent voter registration forms being submitted by the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), a liberal group that is dedicating its resources to electing the Obama-Biden Democrats.

What's worse is the Obama-Biden campaign has funneled more than $800,000 to ACORN for work on get-out-the-vote activities conducted by the left-leaning organization.

The letter below is From the Desk of:
Steve Elliott, President, Grassfire.org Alliance

"Dear Friends,

The evidence is mounting that rampant voter fraud -- primarily
form the liberal, taxpayer-funded group ACORN -- is threatening
to undermine the entire election.

And Barack Obama is refusing to take action to stop voter fraud!

Exactly one month ago, the McCain campaign called on Obama to
join together in an unprecedented bi-partisan effort to stop
fraud. But Obama has totally ignored the request!

Obama remains silent while more evidence is uncovered that
voter fraud is a serious issue and that thousands of bogus
registrations have been made.

Worse of all, our taxpayer dollars are paying for these
fraudulent efforts!

I'm outraged. Obama must step forward and join with McCain to stop voter fraud NOW!

Go here to sign Grassfire’s emergency petition calling on
Obama to take action immediately with the McCain
campaign to stop voter fraud:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=12150&RID=3978616

+ + Also... De-Fund ACORN now!

In addition, Grassfire is calling on Congress to take immediate
action to de-fund ACORN and make sure this corrupt group never
receives another dime of our taxpayer dollars.

We have included many resources for you exposing ACORN's corrupt
activities - not only in this election, but dating back many years.

Go here to access these resources and to sign the petition:

http://www.grassfire.net/r.asp?u=12150&RID=3978616

We will have your petition personally delivered to the Obama
headquarters. I want to send 100,000 petitions by next Wednesday.

Please act now!

Steve Elliott"

ACORN - Voter Fraud

There's plenty of fraud stories to report about ACORN. This is just one of them.
Isn't this terrible?? If the dems can't win then they resort to cheating.

Ohio county seeks fraud investigation of ACORN
By Associated Press
Monday, October 13, 2008

"CLEVELAND - Election officials in swing state Ohio’s most populous county asked a prosecutor Monday to investigate alleged voter-registration fraud, including 73 registrations obtained from one man by an advocacy group under fire in other states.

The bipartisan Cuyahoga County Board of Elections voted unanimously to ask county Prosecutor Bill Mason to investigate multiple registrations by four people who signed forms at the behest of a community organizing group, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, known as ACORN.

One of the new voters, Freddie Johnson, 19, of Cleveland, said he signed 73 voter registration forms over a five-month period. In return, ACORN canvassers gave him cigarettes or cash, about $20 in all, he told WEWS-TV in Cleveland.

Johnson said he was trying to help paid ACORN solicitors collect signed registrations but he didn’t intend to vote more than once.

Two subpoenaed witnesses didn’t show up at the elections board hearing.

The fourth, Christopher Barkley of Cleveland, said he was badgered into signing registrations, even when he told canvassers that he had done so. He said some of the 13 registrations in his name had been signed by him, but not all.

ACORN’s state director, Katy Gall, watched the board’s discussion and said later that ACORN had cooperated with the investigation and would fire anyone soliciting duplicate registrations. She said the organization was proud of its work registering new voters.

The group says it has signed up 1.3 million poor and working-class voters in a mass registration drive in 18 states this year. Some of those registration cards have become the focus of fraud investigations in Nevada, Connecticut, Missouri and other states.

Johnson, who said he didn’t understand voter-registration procedures, was one of four people who were subpoenaed to testify over duplicate registrations. Johnson said after the board meeting that he had been assured by the sheriff’s department that the investigation was aimed at ACORN solicitors and he wouldn’t face criminal charges.

Johnson told the board that he sometimes would get approached by six or seven ACORN voter-registration solicitors while waiting for a bus. Other canvassers stood 10 feet away while a solicitor approached him, Johnson said.

"They never told me I couldn’t stop signing them," said Johnson, who works selling cell phones. Johnson said he was surprised by the attention his multiple registrations had attracted.

Members of the board, split 2-2 by law between Democrats and Republicans, sent the matter to Mason for investigation. One member, Democrat Inajo Davis Chappell, said the board’s referral shouldn’t be limited to the four new voters in question.

Mason, a Democrat running for re-election in the Nov. 4 election in heavily Democratic Cleveland and Cuyahoga County, will review the matter and consider presenting it to a grand jury, which could return charges in an indictment, said his spokesman, Ryan Miday. There is no time frame for a grand jury presentation, he said.

Gall said ACORN canvassers are paid hourly, not for each signed registration they obtain. If canvassers kept going back to the same person to sign a registration card, "It sounds like people were being lazy," she said.

Any ACORN canvasser who fails to meet the organization’s training standards is fired, she said.

Nevada state investigators last week raided ACORN’s Las Vegas headquarters, seizing documents and computer data as part of a probe into scores of fabricated registration forms, including those signed in the names of Dallas professional football players."

ACORN Voter Registration Fraud Watch: Lake County, Indiana. (from: http://www.redstate.com/tags/Barack%20Obama/)

"The concept of ACORN Linked With Voter Registration Fraud is now officially Part Of The Zeitgeist, by the way. And, yes, it was quite fun to bring that about."

"Anyway... out of the first 2,100 (of about 5,000 submitted, all in the last few days before the deadline) handed in by notorious Democratic ally ACORN, all of them were fraudulent. And that's not my word choice: it's CNN’s. xtra fun is watching the ACORN attorney try to weasel out of this. He does... poorly.

PS: Do remember that these are the people that Barack Obama paid 800 grand for get-out-the-vote efforts - although I do credit him with having sufficient cunning to at least try to lie about it."

CNN is now mocking ACORN for this." (see video below)
