Due the the passing of proposition 8, many Mormon churches, evangelical churches, and Catholics churches continue to be threatened.
"Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger on Sunday expressed hope that the California Supreme Court would overturn Proposition 8, the ballot initiative that outlawed same-sex marriage. He also predicted that the 18,000 gay and lesbian couples who have already wed would not see their marriages nullified by the initiative.
"It's unfortunate, obviously, but it's not the end," Schwarzenegger said in an interview Sunday on CNN. "I think that we will again maybe undo that, if the court is willing to do that, and then move forward from there and again lead in that area"." from LA Times - By Michael Rothfeld and Tony Barboza - click here to read entire article: http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-protest10-2008nov10,0,4939340.story
I agree with Michelle Malkin's take on this, she states:
"The GOP governor of California is encouraging church-bashing protesters to continue to defy the will of the people and wreak havoc until Proposition 8, the traditional marriage ballot measure, is overturned. To the Left and to “rebranding” advocate Arnold Schwarzenegger, tolerance is a one-way street." from: http://michellemalkin.com/2008/11/09/schwarzenegger-pours-fuel-on-anti-prop-8-fire/
