Conservative Talk Shows and Pornography are the Same???

According to Reid, and Schmer they are.

This Great article (written by A.W.R. Hawkins) about the "Fairness" Doctrine (excerpts below). For more information on why the fairness doctrine is not fair click here

"Because of Rush Limbaugh’s success as the trendsetter and trailblazer of talk radio, the self-proclaimed “Doctor of Democracy” has been called everything from “a big, fat idiot,” by that big, fat, idiot Al Franken, to “hateful” and “unpatriotic” by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.). But Sen. Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) recently took accusations and name-calling to new low when he equated talk radio -- and by implication Limbaugh -- with pornography. This accusation was part of Schumer’s argument that the government ought to be able to “regulate” talk radio because it regulates pornography....

...Limbaugh’s very existence is an insult to the Left. They’ll never admit that. Instead, they’ll take the low road, comparing him to pornography or pointing out how unpatriotic he is. ...

...Now, Senate Majority Leader Reid -- whom you may remember as the one who gleefully announced that our troops had lost the war in Iraq, a war we are in fact winning -- begins his newest battle against the undisputed king of talk radio by calling him “unpatriotic.” These people are shameless.

Of course, Limbaugh is more than an insult to the Left: he and all conservative talk radio are very potent political weapons. Limbaugh personifies freedom of speech Reagan-style: speech that is free as our Founding Fathers intended. The First Amendment was designed to protect unpopular speech, not only the speech that those in power favor. Any time the people are truly free, they are threat to the plans and machinations of would-be dictators (i.e., Democrats like Reid and Schumer). Thus the Fairness Doctrine was designed to be a tool which demagogues could use to shut down their opposition.

Limbaugh is not on the radio because radio station owners necessarily agree with him; he is on the radio because the people agree with him, and listen to him in such large numbers that his show is lucrative on the airwaves. It is that simple. ...The people love him, tyrants fear him...

...What does President-elect Obama think about this? He is a strong advocate of the reintroduction of the Fairness Doctrine. And because he has so much to hide, this makes sense. But be careful not to be fooled by Obama’s aversion to speaking plainly -- as of late, he has not voiced his support for the Fairness Doctrine but for “network neutrality.”

Fortunately, Limbaugh is not only ahead of the curve as far as talk radio goes but also as far as exposing the Democrat plan to silence free speech through the Fairness Doctrine goes.

It ain’t pornography, Sen. Schumer -- it’s freedom."

Join the hundreds of thousands of citizens taking action now through MRC’s Free Speech Alliance, and our national petition opposing the re-instatement of the Fairness Doctrine. Media Research Center’s Free Speech Alliance goal is to mobilize 500,000 citizens to forever end the threat of the Fairness Doctrine and other attacks on Free Speech.

Winning the war?

Tell that to my friend Timmy. He died in Baghdad this year.

And for what?

So Bush II and his army of Kleptocrats could stuff their pockets with more ill-gotten gains.

Sickening.

"I thank your friend Timmy for his sacrifice and his life. If we didn't have soldiers like him, we wouldn't have our freedoms. God Bless him and all the soldiers that defend our freedom."

Don't you even utter his name. Someone so blind to what's really going on in Iraq (and for the record, Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11) does not deserve to reference my friend. I understand perfectly well why we are fighting this war.

War is big business, and this war is not meant to be won. It was meant to drag on forever. Thankfully, McCain (who said we'd stay for another 100 years if necessary) was crushed in the election. Now young Americans like my friend and thousands of innocent Iraqis can stop dying in the name of higher profits for corporations with friendly ties to the Bush administration.

My friend Timmy died needlessly. He is gone forever now, and those who toe the GOP party line can go ahead and believe that the Iraq war is a noble cause. You're only kidding yourselves--

Obviously hate has blinded you.

Get off your High and Nobel Horse; You really need to do some fact finding.

Read up about the history of the world and the history of freedom. Once freedom is lost, it doesn't come back freely it must be fought for again.

Millions of of innocent Iraqis died in the name of Sudan Hussain. Saddam Hussein was a brutal, oppressive dictator and tryant responsible for decades of atrocities.

You libs justify fighting Hitler and ending his evil Reich and his desire to take over the freedoms of the world. But any new evil dictator who desires to take away freedoms is "ok, let's not interfere - let's be peaceful". We tried that with Hitler, and he became more powerful. Ignoring a problem doesn't make it go away.

There is a very dangerous minority in Islam that either has, or wants and may soon have, the ability to deliver small nuclear, biological, or chemical weapons, almost anywhere in the world. The Jihadis, the militant Muslims,
are basically Nazis in Kaffiyahs -- they believe that Islam, a radically conservative form of Wahhabi Islam, should own and control the Middle East first, then Europe, then the world. And that all who do not bow to their will of thinking should be killed, enslaved, or subjugated.

This isn't a fairy tale, it's real life.

Ross -Please do not leave any more hate comments on my blog as I will delete them immediately.

I gave you amply time to provide something of substance... this is all I got:

You spew hatred against Christians for their beliefs when you cannot provide an ounce of evidence that Christianity teaches and promotes hate.

You deny facts about studies done about the homosexual lifestyle being a high risk of HIV/AIDS. Facts and studies by the CDC don't lie. Bury your head in the sand, maybe you'll be one of the lucky 2 out of 3 that doesn't get HIV/AIDS.

You state murder of the innocent is justifiable because "we had too many people on the planet as is".

You complain about your second class life that you have been forced to live but provide me with no proof of how any of your rights are taken away.

Your logic is so twisted: (i.e. people that support the prop 8 marriage amendment are hacking onto other 'Yes on 8' websites to put up lesbian porno. - I am sure that people that support a common cause (marriage) are trying to destroy that cause (marriage) - doesn't make any sense????

You haven't provided me one substantial facts of any sort and all of your arguments are extremely weak.

You tell me you are happy, but All you do is spew hatred. Find another liberal hate blog that doesn't have any substance - then you can spew your hatred with them.
